35. Reflecting on Embracing Illusion

Hello! Welcome to this sacred space … to this quiet moment …

to our reflective, meditative time together!

I’m Bill Bauman, and I’m so honored

to invite us to reflect together on …

… embracing illusion!

You’ve probably heard me express that, quantumly speaking ,

everything we see and experience in ourselves and our human world

is an illusion.

Well, today, I’m inviting us to look at that assertion a bit more closely.

Allow me to express it in a little more detail:

Everything that we call creation—

our universe, our solar home planet, our human consciousness,

our bodies, our human experiences, everything we see and know—

is the equivalent of a convincing phantasm, an innovative dream,

a mystery-filled mirage, a story-like imagination.

Indeed, this is the unique view that appears before us

when we occupy a quantum space above—make that far, far above—

the tangible-looking forest of our human experience.

Psycho-scientifically speaking, we know that what we see and how we see it

is determined mostly, and some would say completely,

by the specific lens or eyes through which we’re looking

rather than by the external object that we’re looking at.

Allow me to share several examples of this phenomenon:

· If we’re looking through typically human eyes,

we see most things and situations

as duality-based opposing opposites

· If we’re looking through the eyes of our heart,

we see everything as an interconnected,

love-inviting experience

· If we’re looking through the light-filled eyes of our soul

we see life as a unified field filled

with oneness-inviting interactions

· If we’re looking through the eyes of pure ‘being’

we see life and all its happenings

as a ‘something’ that ‘just is’

· If we’re looking through the eyes of the quantum void,

we see every aspect of creation as a pure fantasy,

one in which pure nothingness is imagining itself

as something-ness.

Yes, through these unique quantum eyes,

everything is, indeed, an illusion.

Today, permit me to invite you to embrace this life-changing quantum view.

Together, let’s spend these few moments taking a really good look at you

and everything about you, including your whole life,

as nothing more than a pure, imagination-driven fantasy.

In addition, let’s even embrace our whole tangible-looking world

and everything in it, including ourselves,

as the equivalent of exactly that—a meaning-rich quantum dream,

an imagination-devised story-time, a drama-filled movie,

a ‘good-guys/bad guys’-based fantasy

or an inventive day-dream about possibilities being real.

I know, this view, or viewpoint, can seem counterintuitive,

or even downright delusional, when considered by our ‘reality-based’ mind.

But, when we keep looking at our creation through purely quantum eyes,

this fantasy-driven world of ours looks more and more like a real magical kingdom,

an enchaned wonderland of intrigue, an outright creative masterpiece of imagination.

So, how about if you and I spend these few minutes together

beyond the limited vision of mind-centered considerations!

How about if we even embrace the illusion of it all!

In fact, let’s embrace it so fully that we temporarily forget

our earlier, historical belief that it’s real.

Yes, let’s now ‘let go’ into its illusory, imaginative, dream-like nature!

So, here we are, picturing and experiencing ourselves

as imagined fantasies of an endless quantum source—

being imagined by that source as if we’re real, as if we’re occupying space,

moving through time, composed of light, propelled by energy,

living in physical bodies, gifted with a 3-dimensional mind

and experiencing a world of unfolding possibilities.

What an inventive dream! What a gripping movie! What a dynamic story!

Imagine yourself for a moment not as the ‘human you’ being dreamed,

but as the quantum void dreaming itself—

yes, dreaming itself as a human version of itself, that is, as you,

imaging its intangible nothing-ness as a tangible everything-ness

and visualizing itself in a movie-like adventure film

whose plot is centered around you, the film’s the main actor.

What do you see now?

Looking through quantum eyes, what shows up in your awareness,

in your intuitive knowing, in your imagination-rich consciousness?

As you’re getting an increasingly clear picture of this quantum dream,

let’s continue our quantum experience of creation.

Let go even more now! Become the illusion. Be the fantasy.

Embrace the creative un-reality of yourself and your world.

Experience yourself even more as someone being dreamed and imagined!

Find the gift that this phantasmal illusion is ready to present to you—

as you let go of taking yourself and your world so seriously,

as you find yourself releasing limiting dualistic thinking

and as you discover the unbridled fun that’s here to be had

when you see yourself as being dreamed in a make-believe world!

Finally, experience yourself not just as being dreamed,

but also experience yourself as the quantum dreamer!

Yes, in the bigger, quantum picture beyond this illusory creation,

you and I are the very nothing-ness of the quantum void.

As that, we are dreaming our quantum non-self as a human self.

We are taking great pleasure in pretending to be beings surrounded by space,

measured by time, infused with light, propelled by energy,

moved by physicality and guided by consciousness.

If I may express it again, ours is an adventure-filled dream,

a suspense-driven movie, a discover-as-you-go mystery.

And, to the degree that we see and experience it as such,

to that degree its non-sense makes more and more sense,

its possibilities feel more and more attainable

and its inherent magic is increasingly available to us.

As we close our time together today,

I invite you to keep embracing the illusory character of yourself,

your life and the world around you.

Invite yourself to enjoy the dream and relax into the fantasy.

Allow yourself to have more fun as you play out your unique character in this dream.

Embrace the intriguing illusion that you actually are,

then witness yourself becoming comfortable and free

as you play out its story-like fantasy.
