28. Reflecting on the DEATH of your EGO

Hello! Welcome to this sacred space … to this quiet moment …

to our reflective, meditative time together!

I’m Bill Bauman, and I’m deeply honored

to invite us to reflect together now on …

The DEATH of YOUR EGO!

Ahh, the death of your human ego!

What an exciting and delightful focus! Wouldn’t you agree?

Well, come to think of it, maybe you wouldn’t.

After all, most of us aren’t primed to feel thrilled about our death,

whether that’s the physical death of our body or that of our human ego.

That acknowledged, though, I feel honored to invite you today

to a brief experience of the dying-off of your human ego.

To me, that death—the lessening and releasing of

your limiting mind-sets, your human attachments,

your presumed needs and cherished desires—

is an enormous gift, a sacred leap forward

and an empowering rite-of-passage.

Are you ready to join me?

Great! Let’s do it!

Let’s begin our ‘death journey’ in your mind—the perfect place to start!

Your human mind, created specifically to help you navigate human things,

simply isn’t hard-wired to lead you into the blissful heights of pure light

or into the unknowable depths of the quantum void.

Useful, helpful and even generous as it is to you for human focuses,

It needs to take a back seat

when you’re called to experience worlds beyond this human one.

So, let’s invite your mind, right now, to offer itself to support

your spiritual, soulful, heartful, infinite and quantum calling—

not by actively doing something, as it usually does and is prone to do,

but by taking that back seat,

by letting its cherished thoughts, core beliefs and well-thought-out solutions

stay neutral, become quiet and be an uninvolved observer

as your quantum mind—your deeper, intangible, other-worldly mind—

takes the lead and puts itself in total charge of what’s about to happen.

Let’s witness what your amazing, often-miracle-creating quantum mind

is doing, as it now steps forward from its silent internal lair

and enters the realm of your inner knowing,

as it declares itself “king” or “queen” of your inner human jungle

and as it begins to re-organize your mind, yes, all your minds—

your conscious, sub-conscious, un-conscious and super-conscious minds,

as it simply takes each one of these minds into its invisible hands

and molds each one anew,

compellingly re-shaping its thought-forms, assumptions and beliefs,

re-creating each of them with quantum ease and unquestionable authority.

As we’re witnessing your mighty, internal process of dying—

the quantum-generated death of your mind-centered ego—

what is it looking like to you?

Does it look like it’s also creating pain, as most of us might assume?

Or, to express it in the way that I’m seeing it,

does it look fairly seamless … maybe without significant pain?

In fact, does it even look something like a loving rite-of-passage,

a blessing-filled, empowering and generous gift to all of your inner minds?

To me, it looks like your mind is receiving a gift that it’s actually enjoying,

as if it knows that it’s being rescued by a bigger power from its own addictions—

its addictions to limiting beliefs, interpretations and values, for example—

and that your human mind simply hasn’t been able to overcome by itself.

Yes, our quantum void, quantum source, quantum nothing-ness,

is that skilled, that mighty, that authoritative and that miraculous

that it can turn a caterpillar into a butterfly or a dying phoenix into a new one,

or a well-trained human mind into a quantumly-empowered one,

without the suffering that our mind has deeply believed has to be present

when anything in us dies—whether it’s our bodies, or even itself.

Look deeply into your human mind right now.

What do you see?

Personally, I see a grateful mind, a mind feeling a bit more empowered,

a mind feeling seen and rescued from its limiting habits of thinking.

I see a mind that now feels a bit more like a co-creative partner with you

in your spiritual journey and quantum quest—

serving you by being silent when it’s time to be silent,

being actively helpful when you need to translate bigger-than-life truths

into practical human applications,

and being open to being guided, mentored and even taken over

by its all-knowing quantum source when a bigger truth calls for it.

As we draw our time to a close today,

I invite you to embrace your mind lovingly as it continues to die

and as it perhaps reaches out to you for support in its dying process.

Remind your mind that it’s in powerfully helpful hands, albeit invisible ones,

as your quantum source, step-by-step, dissolves your mind into itself

and as it, your quantum source, inserts and installs itself

into your human mind increasingly every day.

Thank you for our sacred time together today.

Thank you for embracing your ego’s timely and inspired death,

especially as that death plays out in your mind’s human world of thought.

And thank you for being such an elegant and willing ‘die-er’

as you walk yourself—today and every day—

deeper and deeper into the empty arms of your quantum source.

May the rest of your day be one of celebrating

the ongoing death of your ego

and your increasing embrace of your quantum nature!
