18. Reflecting on being UNLIMITED

Hello! Welcome to this sacred space … to this quiet moment …
and to our reflective, meditative time together!
I’m Bill Bauman … and I’m very honored
to be spending these few precious moments with you.
Let’s reflect now on … being UNLIMITED!
Sounds a bit silly, doesn’t it? You and I—being unlimited!?
All we need to do is to look around us to realize
that everything about us as humans is limited—
our eyes’ sight, our ears’ hearing, our physical bodies,
our rational minds, you name it!
Living within the confines of space and time implies limitation.
But … that’s only a small part of the story.
You and I also live in other realms—both inside and outside of spacetime.
We inhabit not only this restrictive three-dimensional realm of space
plus a limited fourth dimension called time.
You and I also are intimately bonded with realms far beyond spacetime,
where these seeming restrictions and lacks don’t exist.
In our short time together today, let’s explore three of those unlimited worlds.
Better yet, let’s embrace them, even bond with them,
not only as they exist “out there” beyond our human sphere,
but, equally, as they are alive and well “in here,” within our human selves.
First, let’s connect with perhaps the most delicious world of them all—
the realm of infinite possibilities.
I’m inviting you to go deep within yourself
where, alive and active in the underbelly of your body’s atoms,
there’s a mystery-rich quantum world,
one that scientists call the realm of sub-atomic particles.
You and I might well call it the realm of infinite possibilities.
In this realm, you are not primarily a human being.
This is where you exist everywhere,
in every dimension and realm of consciousness.
In this both/and natured world, you live as every possible creation
and you experience them as infinite and unlimited.
Spend a quiet moment in this realm of infinite possibilities.
Identify with whatever possibility shows up and presents itself to you.
Follow its lead; let it take you on a journey into its vast potential—
just like you naturally follow the lead of your mind’s daily daydreams.
This time, though, allow yourself to embrace the bold notion that,
in this alternate realm, in this parallel universe, in this possibility-filled world,
these possibilities are as much you as your traditional human self is.
For this moment, let yourself enjoy being unlimited possibility!
Second, let’s connect with another unlimited world—that of divinity.
Remember the many-times-repeated declaration in the Hebrew Book of Genesis—
that we humans are created “in the image and likeness of God”?
The simple interpretation of this phenomenon is that
divinity lies within you as an intimate part of your nature.
Divinity, pure godliness, supernatural source, transcendent wonder—
these are literally fundamental characteristics of, that’s right, you and me!
To me, that means that, if we look deep within, in just the right places,
we discover that very divinity, our very own divinity.
We come face-to-face with our own godliness.
We see ourselves as beautiful, full of wonder,
overflowing with grace and deserving of complete respect.
Let’s spend this short moment being face-to-face with this divinity.
Listen to your deeper self as you hear it softly uttering these words:
“I am divine!”
Experience your worthiness, specialness, beauty and splendor.
Embrace your divine nature, let go into your infinite wonder
and let yourself become one with being divine!
How does it feel to be divine, to be infinite, to be unlimited?
Third, let’s connect with a more familiar realm, one closer to home—
that of our very own identity!
Who are we?
For most of us, our kneejerk response might be:
We are human beings!”
And, from a somewhat narrow perspective, we would be right.
From a more enlightened and fuller-truth perspective, though,
that human identity is but one slice of a many-sliced pie.
Let’s look briefly at two other slices of that pie and see what we find.
One slice offers you this view: you are a human being
With an intimate connectedness to light!
That’s right, you are a light-filled soul having a human experience.
You can live as much in your soul-ful center as you can in your human nature.
You can see ourself and others exactly as your soul does.
You can be your soulful presence, looking at life through eyes of pure light
and experiencing everything in and around you
as light dancing the human dance of physicality
and pretending that unity has temporarily taken on the form of duality.
Before we stop today, let’s look at one more slice of pie—
the quantum slice!
Let’s recall that the deepest truth about us is that
we are quantum beings pretending to be human.
As a quantum being, you have the privilege of knowing that
everything human is a creatively imagined illusion.
You can perceive everything as the equivalent of a creative dream,
a make-believe story-book or a real-looking movie.
With this quantum view, you can be at peace in the midst of seeming drama
and find inner calm amid any sea of make-believe complexity.
As we end our time together today, I would like to remind you that
you are indeed unlimited … and you will always be.
Today, I would like to invite you to visit these realms of unlimited-ness,
just like we’ve just done … and then to live in them,
to your heart’s desire.
Why? Because you deserve it! Because it’s your bigger truth.
And, quite simply, because you are unlimited!
